Can Diet be used a tinnitus remedy? Whilst what we eat will not cure tinnitus in and of itself, there is plenty of evidence to suggest that our diet does play a role in increasing or decreasing the severity of the tinnitus symptoms that we experience.

A smart way for tinnitus sufferers to tackle the subject of diet and it how it does/doesn’t affect their tinnitus, is to start keeping a food log. Do this process diligently and you will begin to notice patterns and then you’ll be able to regulate your food intake accordingly.

That being said however, there are some general diet tips that you can follow to lessen the severity of your tinnitus; which I shall outline forthwith …

Reduce Caffeine

Foods that are high in caffeine should generally be avoided for those seeking tinnitus relief. Foods such that are high in caffeine include cola, chocolate and tea. Caffeine is a stimulant that is believed to increase the frequency and intensity of the ringing in a person’s ears. If you do consume large amounts of caffeine on a daily basis, then you’d be advised to lower your intake and then keep some log records as to how that lowered caffeine intake has affected your symptoms.

Same Goes For Salt

Foods that are high in salt can also aggravate tinnitus. Consuming salty foods on a steady basis can have a number of adverse effects on a person’s health; including the development of high blood pressure and impairment of blood circulation. It is a widely held belief in medical circles that improper blood circulation in the ear is one of the leading causes of ringing in the ears. When intake of salt is reduced, people report that tinnitus sounds are lessened. Processed foods (ahich are famously high in salt) are also high in flavour enhancers such as Glutamate. Glutamate floods the neuroreceptors in the auditory pathway and excites them to a point where they fire continuously.

It probably won’t come as a surprise to learn that a healthy balanced diet, which has overall health benefits will also most likely play a part in reducing the severity of tinnitus symptoms.

Mediterranean Diet

It’s a good idea to eat food as close to its natural state as possible. Many doctors believe that the best tinnitus diet is the Mediterranean diet which is made up of whole, freshly prepared foods, fresh food and vegetables, whole grain breads, pasta, unsaturated fats, beans and nuts.

The important point to realise however, is that diet is only one of a host of factors that need to be considered when putting together a tinnitus treatment program. Those that have beaten tinnitus, have done so by taking a concerted approach to the problem and attacking it on several fronts. Thomas Coleman’s Tinnitus Miracle details a comprehensive treatment program for tinnitus, covering every aspect of treating tinnitus in his 5 step plan.

I'd tried dozens of tinnitus remedies without a great deal of success, but it wasn't until I stumbled upon Tinnitus Miracle that I'd finally found a tinnitus remedy that cured my tinnitus for good.

Hi,

If you’re a tinnitus sufferer then you are someone who is always on the lookout for a remedy that may help alleviate your condition. As someone who suffered tinnitus myself for years, I know that I always trawling the Internet for any new tinnitus remedies that may have miraculously appeared- yet time and time again, I was met with that old refrain: “There’s no known cures for tinnitus, only treatments that may bring some relief.” Frankly I didn’t care about the semantics; I just wanted anything that would stop the ringing in my ears.

I am now extremely happy to say that I have found a tinnitus remedy that works. And when you do, you want to share that information with anyone else who is still suffering from tinnitus.

I was a professional musician for many years, playing bass in a number of bands with the amps always turned up to the max. I’d occasionally have the odd seasoned musician suggest out of the corner of their mouth that I should wear ear plugs, so as to avoid the possibility of contracting tinnitus down the track. But of course I was young and thought I knew better.

It’s not inevitable that prolonged exposure to loud noises will bring about tinnitus, but as far as I am concerned, that turned out to be the case. And I hated it! Some people can live with tinnitus reasonable amicably, but I’m not one of them. I found the constant buzz to be an incredible distraction and really affected my enjoyment of music which was the worst aspect of the whole affair.

Therefore the hunt for a tinnitus cure was on …

I consulted my doctor first. He suggested (as I have heard and read so many other suggest) that weren’t any cures for tinnutus – but there were various tinnitus treatments available that may bring about some relief. Though I was despondent with the news of what I thought was going to be a lifelong condition, I still nonetheless dilligently followed through with the doctors’ recommendations. These centred mainly around some changes to my diet with the addition of some specific herbs; as well as a set of meditation exercises.

Did they work? Well to an extent. I mean if I really focused on something else (which was the point of the meditation exercises) then I became less aware of the tinnitus. But the problem is that can’t I walk around in a state of meditation for the rest of my life. Whenever I was back to my normal waking consciousness, there was the buzzing again.

So did I try anything else? Yes. I even opted for some sound therapy. I bought a kit online which was basically CD’s that played either white noise or sounds such as rain falling or waterfalls. I would listen to these CD’s through earphones with the aim being that the fitness of my inner ear be improved. I have to say that I did notice a slight improvement in my condition through this therapy, but tinnitus was still very much a fact of my life.

I’d more or less resigned myself to living with tinnitus at this stage, but did come across someone recommending Tinnutus Miracle by Thomas Coleman on a health related forum. So I looked it up on the Internet to see what he had to say. The website made some big claims – i.e. permanently eliminate tinnitus in 2 months – which immediatley made me sceptical as I’d seen other makes these types of claims before but there were dozens of positive testimonials on the website and there was also an 8 week money-back-guarantee, so I knew that I had nothing to lose in checking it out a little more closely.

So I ordered Tinnitus Miracle …

And I have to say that almost immediately upon receiving it, some things started to click into place. The first thing I noticed was that Tinnitus Miracle takes a holistic approach to curing your tinnitus: it doesn’t just recommend this approach or that; it recommends a whole range of things that need to be done in unison. Straight away I realised that I’d been going about things the wrong way, as I’d always tried single one-off remedies rather than taking a concerted approach to curing my tinnitus.

Click Here For A Comprehensive Video Review Of Tinnitus Miracle

Buoyed by this realisation I read on and really devoured everything that Thomas had to say.

Tinnitus Miracle can basically be broken down into the following sections:

Section 1 – Introduction: Details on how the ear and your hearing work.

Section 2 – Explanation of Tinnitus: What tinnitus is and what may be causing your symptoms. He recommends some straightforward lifestyle changes in this section aimed at helping reduce the ringing in the ear symptoms within a few days.

Section 3 and main part of the book – 5 Step Treatment Plan: In section three, Thomas discusses statistics on the different types of tinnitus that arediscussed in Section 1, and gives you a short survey. The results of this survey help narrow in on the probable cause of your tinnitus, so that you can adapt the author’s 5 step treatment plan for eliminating your tinnitus for good!

Section 4 – Appendices: A large number of listings for homeopathic support groups, tinnitus associates, information about medications, and more.

But as someone who has spent a lot of time researching tinnitus cures, let me spell out for y0u (as a fellow tinnitus sufferer) what it is about this book that makes is stand out from everything else that you find out there:

1. Thomas has you take a survey which helps you identify the root cause of your tinnitus.

2. He then designs a customisable 3 step process that offers a solution for the type of tinnitus that you have identified.

3. He takes a holistic approach (rather than a piecemeal approach) to curing the particular brand of tinnitus from which you suffer – using your own body’s ability to help heal you.

Click Here To Discover How Tinnitus Miracle Can Help You Overcome Your Tinnitus

But let me add a warning. It will require some work on your part and the cure won’t happen overnight. For me personally, I did notice some slight improvements almost straight away, but it wasn’t until about the 10 week mark or so that I could say that I was finally cured of the ringing in my ears. And it has involved me making some permanent changes to my diet, but I consider this a very small price to pay for the quiet that I now experience inside my head.

Thankfully, Thomas is also on hand to offer email support whilst you’re putting these new steps into place. I found this part of the course to be invaluable.

If you’re someone whose not prepared to accept the advice of medical professionals that your tinnitus cannot be cured, then I strongly recommend that you check out Tinnitus Miracle for yourself.

A look at some of the more common tinnitus treatments including tinnitus retraining therapy, sound therapy, herbal and nutritional treatments and alternative therapies.

Hi,

Let’s start with the most obvious thing first – before you start contemplating the different types of tinnitus treatments, you should really first consult with your doctor and have him determine the severity of your condition. The hearing system is one of the most delicate and sensitive mechanisms in the body – so it stands to reason that any treatments centred around this part of our anatomy should be exercised with extreme caution.

But that being said, listed here are some of your more common methods of treating tinnitus:

1. TRT (Tinnitus Retraining Therapy) -

Basically TRT is a counseling technique with the goal of having a patient habituate to the tinnitus sound (in the same manner that we habituate to everyday sounds and can therefore effectively tune them out – such as not being able to hear the refrigerator motor whilst watching television). Patients who have emerged successfully from TRT often report that they can only hear their tinnitus if they concentrate on hearing it, and if they do hear their tinnitus they are not bothered by it. The tinnitus is therefore treated as a “neutral” signal. Habituation will be brought about with two conditions: the removal of negative associations of the tinnitus using education and counseling and avoiding silence via low-level “neutral” sounds.

2. Sound Therapy

Sound therapy is aimed at rehabilitating the muscles in the middle ear and stimulating the brain. Sound therapy challenges the ear with constantly alternating sounds of high and low tone whilst at the same time, progressively removing low frequency sounds from the music so the ear is re-introduced to high frequencies. The aimed for result is a rehabilitation of the ear, improving the tone and responsiveness of the middle ear muscles. These alternating frequencies will happen in the background befind a foreground noise of ocean waves or rainfall.

Sound therapy is not pitched as a cure for tinnitus but rather as a means of improving middle ear health, which may bring some relief from tinnitus.

3. Herbal Treatments

Various University studies have all cited Ginkgo Biloba, Black Cohosh, Hawthorn, and Melatonin as herbs which can help with the relief of tinnitus.

4. Aromatherapy

In instanced where problems with blood circulation are symptomatic of tinnitus, The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Natural Remedies recommends four essential oils: rosemary, cypress, lemon, and rose. These oils can be administered with a head massage, a vaporizer, or an aromatherapy diffuser.

5. Nutritional Therapy

Niacin, Vitamin B12, Magnesium and Zinc have all been shown at various times to have a positive effect when it comes to relieving tinnitus. Supplements containing these vitamins and minerals should only be taken after medical consultation.

There have also been claims made that alternative tinnitus treatments such as hypnosis and magnet therapy have been shown to have a positive impact – although none of these methods has been through any type of exhaustive clinical trial.

All The Best,
